On Feb 22, 2020, WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder & Lineal Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury will have the long-awaited rematch of their draw in December of 2018! I am making this video two weeks out because I might not have access to my computer for a couple of weeks (by choice. I’m doing some traveling and might want to lighten my load.). I think in Tyson Fury we one of the most mobile and nimble heavyweights of all time. Perhaps second only to “The Greatest” himself Muhammad Ali. Like Ali Fury is also a great showman in the ring as well. Fury’s two-inch advantage in height & reach should allow him to moreover and land punches in relative safety, but not complete safety. If I’m going to compare Fury’s mobility, nimbleness & showmanship to Ali, then I think Deontay Wilder’s power deserves comparison to Joe Louis. Like The Brown Bomber, The Bronze Bomber can end a fight on a single punch. It’s something Louis understood and it’s something Wilder understands. I think Wilder put it best himself after stopping Luis Ortiz. When he said that his opponents have to be right all fight and he only has to be right for two seconds.
As a basketball fan both the trade deadline and draft are exciting times! As they bot represent chances for your team to make that one move that will take them to the next level. Speaking as a lifelong fan of the Portland Trail Blazers. I’d like to give my 2 cents about what I think they should do. I honestly think there best move would be not making a move. They traded Kent Bazemore for Trevor Ariza. While it wasn’t a trade that moved mountains. It was a smart trade on Portland’s part. Ariza. is a comment professional and has found his nitch everywhere he’s been. He has a reasonable contract that is due next season. After making it to the Western Conference Finals the expectations were high in Rip City. This year the Blazers are on the outside of the playoffs looking in. I think the team overachieved last year. I also think they are dealing with injuries that have set them back as well. However, once they get Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum & The currently injured Jusuf Nurkic playing together things will improve. However with their addiction to their big 3. The blazers have young talent in Anfernee Simons, G. Trent, Jr., Nassir Little & Zach Collins under contract. Add another draft pick. I have mixed feelings about Neil Olshe, but he’s done a good job of finding talent in the draft. In theory, they could get something back for Hassan Whiteside who will see his role reduced when Nurkic returns, and Portland could use a more dynamic player at either forward position. However, Portland is dealing with injuries among their bigs. I think it could be in the Blazer’s best interest to keep Whiteside through this season and letting him walk or seeing if there is not a sign and trade deal they could make in the offseason. My Super Bowl LIV Reaction! The Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20. San Francisco had Kansas City on the proverbial ropes leading 20-10 going into the fourth quarter, but 21 unanswered points latter Kansas City wins Super Bowl LIV 31-20. It was the third straight playoff game that KC came back down 10 points or more in the second half to win. Patrick Mahomes overcame two early interceptions to lead the comeback and at 24 become the youngest Super Bowl MVP. I think there is an argument for Damien Williams who ran for 104 yards& Scored the go-ahead Touchdown and again using a boxing term. The knockout touchdown. The immediate narrative is that San Francisco gave the game away. While I feel there is some truth to that. Give Kansas City all the credit in the world. They didn’t let getting behind break them. Andy Reid trusted Mahomes. The result was those 21 unanswered points and the second Super Bowl Championship in Franchise history! Deontay Wilder Was Trailing on all three scorecards. When he stopped Luis Ortiz at the end of the 7th round. A round that for 2 mineuts and fifty seconds Ortiz was winning and even hurt Wilder. Jamel Herring beats Lamont Roach Jr Is Vasiliy Lomachenko In His Future? Overshadowed By KSI VS. Logan Paul. In Los Angeles, WBO Super Featherweight Champion Jamel Herring Made his first defense of his championship about three and a half hours north in Fresno. By winning a 12 round decision over Lamont Roach Jr. The fight wasn’t the most exciting, but both Hearing and Roach are good boxers. Herring took a lead into the later rounds. Roach came on strong in the Late rounds even rocking Hearing a bit. Herring did score what appeared to be a knockdown himself (I forgot to mention that in the video sorry). However, the ref ruled it as a slip. Perhaps what might be most significant about this bout is that Top Rank who promotes Herring also Promotes WBC Super Featherweight Champion Miguel Berchelt. The winner of Jamel Herring vs. Miguel Berchelt is likely to get a shot at Lightweight Champion Vasiliy Lomachenko after he takes on the winner of Richard Commey vs.Teofimo Lopez who fight in December.
Gennady Golovkin vs Sergiy Derevyanchenko Preview! Gennady (GGG) Golovkin faces Sergiy (The Technician) Derevyanchenk on October 5, 2019, for the vacant IBF & IBO middleweight championships of the world. The fight will be broadcast by DAZN from Madison Square Garden in New York City. Golovkin is 39-1-1 with 35 stoppage wins Derevyanchenko is 13-1 with 10 stoppage wins. Don’t be fooled by the small amount of fights Derevyanchenko is the real deal. I would not be surprised to see the fight even after 8 rounds. Derevyanchenko could pull the upset, but I’m picking Golovkin to pull away in the later rounds and to become the IBF & IBO middleweight champion.
A Gift For GGG? Gennady Golovkin/Sergiy Derevyanchenko Review. Gennady Golovkin wins a close decision over Sergiy Derevyanchenko to become IBF and also IBO middleweight champion! GGG won a disputed unanimous decision by scores of 114-113 and 115-112 twice. Without the knockdown in the first round by Golovkin scores would have been 114-114 and 115-113 twice. Officially the knockdown did not affect the fight. However, plenty of observers fell that GGG got a gift and The Technician as Derevyanchenko is known should have been crowned champion. Personally, I thought it was a close fight that could have gone either way. Neither Golovkin or Derevyanchenko were able to take advantage of opportunities in the fight.
Sergiy Derevyanchenko Has Options After GGG Fight! I tend to make one What’s Next Video after a Fight, but I wanted to try making videos for both Sergiy Derevyanchenko and Gennady Golovkin! Please stay tuned to this channel for my GGG video! In this video, I am focused on Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Who, despite not getting the decision has created for himself more options than at any point in his career!
Is It Time For GGG To Move Up To Super Middleweight? Sometimes the simple explanation is the correct one. If you feel that Sergiy Derevyanchenko deserved the decision against Gennady Golovkin the simple explanation may just be that in October of 2019 Derevyanchenko is a better boxer than GGG.
Derevyanchenko is absolutely deserving of a rematch and Golovkin has options if he decides to stay at 160. Demetrius Andrade & Ryota Murata are makable fights. I don’t think Canelo Alvarez is going to be GGG’s next fight and he may have to move up to 168 to secure a third fight. At 168 there is the winner of Callum Smith/John Ryder, but I think a fight with Billy Joe Saunders might create more interest.
On Saturday September 28 2019 IBF welterweight champion defeated his WBC counterpart Shawn Porter at the Staples Center in Los Angeles California. In this post are my preview video, post fight video and my what’s next video.

Regardless of where the rematch takes place, it may give us the answers to some unanswered questions from the first fight.

Taylor holds the IBF championship and holds the WBA and a share of the WBC along with Jose Carlos Ramirez who beat Maurice Hooker last month to take the WBO championship. Ideally, the winner of Regis Prograis and Josh Taylor will face Jose Carlos Ramirez for the undisputed championship!

Back in June Andy Ruiz Jr. Shocked the world and upset Anthony Joshua to win the WBA, WBO & IBF Heavyweight Championships. His contract had a rematch clause that favored than champion Joshua. It was announced by Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing that the rematch will take place on December 7th in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. However, despite the rematch clause, Ruiz has not agreed to these terms. The question is who has the most leverage? Joshua has the contract that Ruiz agreed to, Ruiz has 3 of 4 Heavyweight Championships. Who has the most to lose? If Ruiz refuses the current terms? I am of the opinion that one way or another Joshua is fighting on Dec 7th in Saudi Arabia.with at least one if not all three of the A Heavyweight Championships he lost to Ruiz in June on the line. If it’s not against Ruiz don’t be surprised if it’s against Oleksandr Usyk who is the #1 contender with the WBO and a Matchroom fighter. If Ruiz holds his position. He is promoted through the PBC and as long as Deontay Wilder wins his rematches with Luis Ortiz & Tyson Fury. He should get a shot at WBC Champion Wilder.
