Canelo KO’s The Krusher What’s Next? Saul Canelo Alvarez wins the WBO Light heavyweight Championship by knocking out Sergey Krusher Kovalev in the 11th round! Who will his next opponent be? It’s possible that he will unify with WBA Champion Dmitry Bivol. It is possible that Canelo will choose to fight at Super Middleweight. If that’s the case Bivol has expressed a willingness to fight at 168 in the past. If not Bivol fights can be made with Billy Joe Saunders or the winner of Callum Smith/John Ryder. Do not expect Canelo to face rival Gennady GGG Golovkin, WBC/IBF Light heavyweight Champion Artur Beterbiev or the top WBO Contender Gilberto Ramirez.
What’s Next For Shakur Stevenson After Beating Joet Gonzalez? Shakur Stevenson, who won the Silver medal at the 2016 Olympics becomes WBO Featherweight champion with an impressive 12 round decision over Joet Gonzalez? I felt that his performance reminded me of Floyd Mayweather at 147 & 154. I think Stevenson has all the talent and potential in the world. Like Mayweather, he picked his spots, was very efficient with his punches. Like Mayweather at 147 & 154, he might not have knockout power, but he does have enough pop in his punches to make opponents think twice. Mayweather was at the end of his career and from 130-140 While he was never a KO Artist. He had decent power. I think at 126 & 130 Stevenson is going to be just fine. However at 135 & 140 where his opponents are going to be stronger. If he doesn’t at least matain his Make you think twice power. I think someone could stop him in the late rounds. This is just an observation and opinion and these concerns won’t suffice for a few years if at all. Anyways this is more about Shakur Stevenson’s inmate future. Where the newly crowned WBO Featherweight Champion has a lot of options. He called out IBF Champion Josh Warrington there are some obstacles but it is a makeable fight. The top contenders for the WBO Championship are Michael Conlan, Jessie Magdaleno & Carl Frampton. All three are Top Rank/ESPN boxers. WBO Super Bantamweight Champion is Emanuel Navarrete & The WBO Super Featherweight Champion is Jamel Herring. Both are also Top Rank/ESPN boxers. So basically Shakur Stevenson has options. Gennady Golovkin vs Sergiy Derevyanchenko Preview! Gennady (GGG) Golovkin faces Sergiy (The Technician) Derevyanchenk on October 5, 2019, for the vacant IBF & IBO middleweight championships of the world. The fight will be broadcast by DAZN from Madison Square Garden in New York City. Golovkin is 39-1-1 with 35 stoppage wins Derevyanchenko is 13-1 with 10 stoppage wins. Don’t be fooled by the small amount of fights Derevyanchenko is the real deal. I would not be surprised to see the fight even after 8 rounds. Derevyanchenko could pull the upset, but I’m picking Golovkin to pull away in the later rounds and to become the IBF & IBO middleweight champion.
A Gift For GGG? Gennady Golovkin/Sergiy Derevyanchenko Review. Gennady Golovkin wins a close decision over Sergiy Derevyanchenko to become IBF and also IBO middleweight champion! GGG won a disputed unanimous decision by scores of 114-113 and 115-112 twice. Without the knockdown in the first round by Golovkin scores would have been 114-114 and 115-113 twice. Officially the knockdown did not affect the fight. However, plenty of observers fell that GGG got a gift and The Technician as Derevyanchenko is known should have been crowned champion. Personally, I thought it was a close fight that could have gone either way. Neither Golovkin or Derevyanchenko were able to take advantage of opportunities in the fight.
Sergiy Derevyanchenko Has Options After GGG Fight! I tend to make one What’s Next Video after a Fight, but I wanted to try making videos for both Sergiy Derevyanchenko and Gennady Golovkin! Please stay tuned to this channel for my GGG video! In this video, I am focused on Sergiy Derevyanchenko. Who, despite not getting the decision has created for himself more options than at any point in his career!
Is It Time For GGG To Move Up To Super Middleweight? Sometimes the simple explanation is the correct one. If you feel that Sergiy Derevyanchenko deserved the decision against Gennady Golovkin the simple explanation may just be that in October of 2019 Derevyanchenko is a better boxer than GGG.
Derevyanchenko is absolutely deserving of a rematch and Golovkin has options if he decides to stay at 160. Demetrius Andrade & Ryota Murata are makable fights. I don’t think Canelo Alvarez is going to be GGG’s next fight and he may have to move up to 168 to secure a third fight. At 168 there is the winner of Callum Smith/John Ryder, but I think a fight with Billy Joe Saunders might create more interest.
On Saturday September 28 2019 IBF welterweight champion defeated his WBC counterpart Shawn Porter at the Staples Center in Los Angeles California. In this post are my preview video, post fight video and my what’s next video.
Canelo vs Kovalev Thoughts & Catchweight Rant! Welcome to Sports Talk With Troy where I may or may not be an expert, but I am a long-time fan with an informed and knowledgeable opinion! Please Subscribe to My YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1DnNvUpABr-ayiIMvwBJgg
Middleweight champion Saul Canelo Alvarez and light heavyweight champion Sergey Krusher Kovalev have been looking into facing each other. With November 2, 2019, being the planned date for the fight. The would be for Kovalev’s light heavyweight championship. Nothing is official, but it is seeming more and more likely that the fight will happen. Because Canelo is moving up from middleweight skipping super middleweight. There is speculation that the fight will be contested at a catchweight. I realize that I’m just one fan with an opinion, but I fell that if a championship is on the line in a boxing match. It should be contested at the proper weight.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR VASILIY LOMACHENKO AFTER BEATING LUKE CAMPBELL? Please help me grow Sports Talk With Troy by Subscribing https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1Dn… I think the long term plan is to fight the winner of Richard Commey and Teofimo Lopez who are supposed to fight late this year or early next year for Commey’s IBF lightweight championship. However, waiting for that fight would have Lomachenko out of the ring for almost a year. It’s possible that Lomachenko could go back down to super featherweight for a fight before facing the Commey/Lopez winner for the Undisputed lightweight championship. Lomachenko vs. Gervonta (Tank) Davis is something of a dream match. He recently dropped his WBA Super featherweight championship and is looking to move up to lightweight. There are promotional issues that will always make Lomachenko vs. Davis a challenge to make. However, if they can get past them this might be the best time to make that fight! The fight however that makes the most sense is Lomachenko vs. WBC super featherweight champion Miguel Berchelt. Berchelt is a very good boxer with a good record. There are also not the promotional and television broadcasting issues that will likely get in the way of Lomachenko vs Davis. #vasiliylomachenko#loma#lomachenko#hi-tech #boxing

Vasiliy Lomachenko adds the WBC lightweight championship to his WBA & WBO championships with a 12 round decision over Luke Campbell at the O2 Arena in London. While I thought Campbell fought as smart and good of a fight as he could have. He had his moments. I fell that Lomachenko clearly won the fight. I also fell that if it wasn’t for Campbell’s double lege takedown of Lomachenko in the 12th round Lomachenko who scored a knockdown in the 11th round would have at least scored a second knockdown in the 12th round.

Regis Prograis Pulls Out Of World Boxing Super Series!
Prograis the WBA 140 pound champion was set to face Josh Taylor who holds the IBF championship at 140 in the finals of the World Boxing Super Series. Has pulled out of the competition.
The scheduled unification bout was expected to take place in October.
In July Jose Ramirez added the WBO championship to his WBC championship. Ideally, the winner of Prograis & Taylor would have faced Ramirez for the undisputed championship at 140. That is now on hold.
What’s next for Keith Thurman After Losing to Manny Pacquiao?
Thurman will take a bit of a step back, but I don’t expect it to be that big of a step back. I don’t see an immediate rematch happening. Maybe there will be a rematch sometime down the line? He won’t get the best of the best like the winner of Errol Spence & Shawn Porter, or Terence Crawford.
This being said I don’t see Thurman taking a big step down. I fell that the loser of Errol Spence & Shawn Porter could likely be his next opponent. Other possibilities include Danny Garcia, Mikey Garcia, Yordenis Ugas & Sergey Lipinets.
Coming off his big win over Keith Thurman. What’s next for Future Hall Of Fame boxer Manny Pacquiao
Don’t count on Pacquiao or any PBC promoted boxer to be in the same ring with Terence Crawford anytime soon. However, he still ha plenty of options. I believe that the PBC is going to match Manny Pacquiao up with the winner of Errol Spence Jr & Shawn Porter who fight to unify the IBF & WBC welterweight championships scheduled for September. If that falls through. Pacquiao has other options within the PBC. Mikey Garcia & Danny Garcia have the most appeal, but there is also Yordenis Ugas and Sergey Lipinets.
What about a rematch with Floyd Mayweather? I think that if it happens it is likely to be next. I think that if Mayweather wants to make the fight now is the time to do it. I really don’t think Pacquiao beats Spence, and despite coming off a win over Thurman. I’m not sure he beats Porter either.
