Are we a step closer to aHeavyweight Boxing Final Four? In two separate matches four of the top current heavyweight boxers will be fighting each other. On October 28th IBF/WBA Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua of England defends his championship against Kubrat Pulev of Bulgaria at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, Wales. Than on November 4th WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder of The United States is scheduled to take on Cuba’s Luis Ortiz. Although this bout is not yet official. It would be more than reasonable to expect the winners especially if they are Joshua and Wilder to face each other some time in 2018. I would rank the current heavyweights 1. Anthony Joshua 2. Deontay Wilder 3. Luis Ortiz 4. Kubrat Pulev 5. Joseph Parker from New Zealand the WBO Champion who could just as easily be ranked 3 or 4. If you like this video please give it a thumbs up. Deontay Wilder vs Luis Ortiz November 4th? WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has been in talks to take on Luis Ortiz in a championship fight on November 4th.
It’s a boxing match that is intriguing. It is not a done deal. Bermane Stiverne who is the Number One Contender in the WBC heavyweight rankings. Has threatened legal action. In order to prevent Wilder amd Ortiz to get into the ring on Nov 4th. Stiverne will be a offered step aside payment, in order for Wilder & Ortiz to be able to make their fight. However, Stiverne has indicated that he would not accept.
As the top contender it is Stiverne’s right to preserve his spot. However, I do fell that fell he needs to make a fight with Wilder in a reasonable amount of time.

Demetrius Andrade who could be the best boxer in a very talanted field of 154 pounders that includes Canelo Alvarez, Erislandy Lara. Along with Jermall Charlo and his twin brother Jermell Charlo. Will challenge Jack Culcay for a WBA light middleweight/super welterweight championship. On March 11th At the time of making this video 2/14/2017. The fight is not being shown on American TV. The fight is happening in Germany so that could be the excuse for both HBO and Showtime, as well as the other PBC networks to pass. However I don’t see that as a good reason for them to pass on this fight. Andrade is as talanted as anyone in the sport. He’s unbeaten at 23(16)-0-0, and a former WBO champion. He is also a member of the 2008 U.S. Olympic boxing team. HBO and Showtime should be banging down his door to get him on their air.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. T-Mobile Arena. Las Vegas, Nevada. I will start this with a controversial statement. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is as talented if not more talented than his father Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. What he lacks is the dedication to the sport his father had. The more I understand boxing the more I start to think that dedication and preparation are more important than talent. Everyone at the highest level of the sport has talent. I fell confident that Canelo will be dedicated and prepared. I can’t say the same thing about Chavez Jr. However if he is dedicated and prepared for this fight he can have his hand raised at the end.

It is looking more and more that IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook will defend against top contender Errol Spence. Nothing is certain, but there had been serious talk that Brook was going to fight Amir Khan. That fight would have drawn more money than a fight with Spence and Khan is perceived to be a less risky fight for Brook. Mostly due to Khan’s chin. Brook/Khan isn’t happening because Khan priced himself out of the fight Nothing is set in stone. Brook may still decide to move up to light middleweight.

Since Floyd Mayweather retired no one has really stood out above all the rest as the absolute top guy in the sport. There are contenders for the spot like Terence Crawford, Roman Gonzalez, Carl Frampton, Andre Ward, Gennady Golovkin, Canelo Alvarez, and Vasyl Lomachenko to name a few. I may have left someone you would consider? My question is who do you think is the best boxer right now and what is your criteria? Personally I look at the past 24 months and rate who in my opinion has done the best against the highest level of competition. It is subjective, but any pound for pound list is. At this point in time I like Terence Crawford again it’s subjective. So please let me know in the commit section, or make a response video or both. Who you have as the best boxer in the world.

Gennady Golovkin Daniel Jacobs Negotiations update and thoughts.
The WBA has extended the time period for a purse bid for the proposed boxing match between WBA Super World Middleweight Champion Gennady Golovkin and WBA World middleweight Champion Daniel Jacobs. According to WBA rules Glolovkin would get 75% of the purse and Jacobs 25%. A major holdup is that Jacobs fells he deserves a bigger cut than 25%.
My personal opinion is that I agree with Jacobs, He’s big enough of a name to get more than 25% I would say 35% max, but 30% is more realistic in my opinion.
Jacobs has mentioned that he is considering taking on a tuneup before facing Glolovkin which could put WBO MiddleWeight Champion Billy Joe Saunders in a good spot to at least collect a big payday. If Jacobs is really going to take a tuneup than Glolovkin may need to move up to Super Middleweight sooner rather than latter, and that Golovkin’s critics must accept that no one is lining up to fight him.

GGG Beats Canleo But It’s A Close Fight. Gennady Golovkin vs. Saul Alvarez Boxing’s next super fight. In reality Andre Ward vs. Sergey Kovalev is going to be a one sided fight in Ward’s favor. The pontional match up of GGG & Canleo. Has instant classic written all over it.
My way to early opinion is that Golovkin will beat Alvarez. It won’t be an easy fight.

Boxing Weekend Review 9-9 & 9-10 2016. I felt this past weekend was a pretty good weekend for boxing. The big fight of the weekend was Gennady Golovkin’s fifth round stoppage of Kell Brook. On Satuarday. That same night Roman Gonzalez beat Carlos Cuadras. On Friday Eduard Troyanovsky stopped Keita Obara in the second round. Lattter that day Robert Easter Jr beat Richard Commey and Daniel Jacobs stops Sergio Mora in the seventh round.
Robert Easter Jr. beats Richard Commey by split decision 115-112, 114-113 and 113-114. In a competitive bout.
